We build bridges to the future and ensure young people’s participation in work and society. The HIBB is the first point of contact for vocational training in Hamburg! We develop our educational programmes in close cooperation with our training partners and continuously adapt them to the dynamic changes taking place in the vocational world.

Our schools

Around 45,300 students as well as approximately 2,900 teachers and other staff learn and work at HIBB’s 29 vocational schools. Here you can find profiles and contact details for each individual school, as well as inspection reports.

Hamburg’s vocational schools offer a broad range of programmes in the areas of preparation for vocational training, dual and school-based vocational training, gaining higher education entrance qualifications and continuing vocational education and training.

Our head office

The HIBB head office fulfils its responsibilities within four business units: school development/governance and counselling, the design of educational pathways and transitions, human resources and finance, as well as extracurricular and continuing vocational education and training. It also includes the department for strategic controlling, parliamentary affairs and public relations.
